On Saturday, September 22, 2023 SoCal Challengers went to the 13th annual Crusin for a Cure car show. SoCal Challengers members present at the show were Brian, Jim, Phil, Chris, Mellow, James and David.
On Sunday, August 12, 2012 SoCal Challengers attended another great charity event at WyoTech's 5th Annual Wounded Warrior Car Show in Long Beach. It was a great day to have a show near the beach to stay cool. The brass band playing music was a special touch. I think Karl may have convinced some of us to come out to Mojave Mile in September! Nice job! There were so many great classics at the show and the highlight of the day was the presentation of a 2012 Jeep Wrangler to Sgt Matt Amos, a combat veteran who was wounded in Iraq in 2006. He reminds us all of the sacrifices our men and women make everyday to protect us and preserve freedom. Congratulations to Sgt Amos! In attendance was the Sawyers, James, Phil, Alex, Tom, Dave, Karl, Brian, Mike & Michael and Israel.
What a great time SoCal Challengers had at the San Dimas Sheriff's Booster Club Annual Car Show on Sunday, July 29th 2012. The SoCal weather was great and we had a lot of shade trees so we didn't even have to put up the canopy. There were many great classics at the show. One favorite was the completely restored Dodge Power Wagon. We had a delicious pancake breakfast with bacon on the side. Later in the day, we all got bacon-wrapped hotdogs for lunch. Gotta love the food! We made some new friends and Diceman came by to chat and hang out for the day. Members in attendance were Dave McIntosh, James Schaap, Jim Diess and Chris Sawyer.
