Happy B-day dad :D was created by mbphotos
Well, my dad's b-day is coming up on the 19th, so I've been thinking about what I wanted to get him. I gave Ryan at Stack a call yesterday to get some ideas, I was going to get him the rear stiffy bar since we just got our front one installed, that way we would be balanced out in front and rear, but Ryan already had 11 back-ordered and 15 being made and wouldn't be done before my dad's b-day. So that got me thinking. Ryan and I had our minds in sync, just as I thought of it, he mentioned "what about SP lowering springs?" Exactly what I was thinking! Got the pricing info, told him I would see if I could pull the trigger on it and get back to him. Ended up calling Ryan back up last night and said "lets do it!" He squeezed me in first thing this morning.

My dad thought I was just taking the car to Ryan so he could check out our "check engine" light problem (which they figured out VERY fast and fixed for me, Thanks Stack!! ) Little did he know he was getting his car back with an all new look this afternoon

Huge thanks to Ryan and the crew as usual for hookin' me up every way possible and doing a (as always) steller install. Just driving home I could feel some MAJOR differences. The ride quality was not sacrafised one bit, but the performance was by far better. Much less body sway, much more responsive to turning, gripped the ground in turns better all while majorly improving the look. The drop is PERFECT, not to high, not to low. I was stoked, but the best part was the look on my dad's face when I pulled the car into his works shipping yard (after I detailed it a bit of course It was a MESS). At first he didn't notice and I could tell he couldn't figure out what the hell I was doing and why I was pointing the camera at him while driving in (He gave me the finger.... ) I have photo evidence of that, too! Just not on my site

But then he looked at it for a minute and got that look on his face like "what the hell? am I seeing things?" LOL. Then he stepped back and his face lite up.

All in all, he LOVES it already, and so do I, so it's perfect!

Our next things will be a bulk buy of: rear stiffy, X-brace, and the Chubby Pro adjustable sways

I have to say, one of the funniest parts was when I was sitting in the lobby as Ryan and the crew were putting on the finishing touches and I get a call from my dad basically saying "what the hell is taking so long?" and "did they figure out the problem?" I told him ya they figured it out and fixing it right now. Then I told him "guess who else was here today??"
dad- "who?"
me- "Jeff Garber! And guess what he was having done to his car?"
dad-"sway bars?"
me- "nope, he already has those . The SP lowering springs Ryan was talking about at the meet!"
dad- "Oh really? How do they look? does he like it??"
me- "It looks SICK!!! He's really diggin' it and so am I!"
dad- "have you asked Ryan any questions about anything?"
me- "No, what do you wanna know?"
dad-"well first off how much is the lowering springs going to cost installed and how soon can he get us in there!?"
me- "uhh.... I dunno... I'll ask! "
dad-"alright, ask him about that and the chubby pros and rear stiffy"
me- "alright will do! See ya when I get to your work"
dad- "alright cya later" *I hang up the phone and instantly start laughing my rear off *

ANYWHO. 3 books written later, here's some pictures for ya cause I know that's all that you all really care about!

Hahahaha don't worry, Ryan was saying he wanted me as his kid too .

And yeah it was a MUCH better stance now, much more aggressive and takes away the stock R/T 4x4 look . And I still can't stop thinking about how much better it handles. Not looking forward to getting up early (probably around 4:30 or 5:00) to get to the C.A.R.E show, but sure am looking forward to the drive

Fantastic write up and photos MB!

I hope you don't mind if I "borrow" some of the photos for my write up.

What an early surprize birthday gift for your Dad, nice! I admire his parenting skills. It was a great day and I'm glad we could share the SP experience together.
